Valerie Freeman, CEO

Valerie Freeman is the founder and CEO of Dallas-based Imprimis Group, Inc., a leading supplier of staffing, recruiting, human resource and outsourcing services.  Imprimis operates under the brand names Imprimis Staffing, Bravo Technical Resources, Human Capital Solutions, Freeman+Leonard, Mature Personnel and Third Party Pay.  Imprimis has been in business for over 30 years and has been named one of the largest independently owned staffing services in Texas, with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and Austin.

Valerie was awarded “Outstanding Business Leader” by Northwood University.  She was also inducted into the Women’s Business Enterprise Hall of Fame for her many years of business success and contribution to the WBE community.  Imprimis was named Women’s Business Enterprise of the Year by the Women’s Business Council of the Southwest and Valerie received the Athena Award from the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce and the “Real Girls, Real Women” Award from the Girl Scouts of NE Texas.  Valerie was also honored as one of the 25 most influential women in business by the Dallas Business Journal.  She is also past recipient of the National Association of Women Business Owners “National Business Owner of the Year”, Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year”, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s “Business Star” and Sterling Bank’s Inspiring Women Award. She was also named Women’s Business Advocate twice by the Women’s Business Council of the Southwest.

Valerie is also a founder and Board member of two for-profit organizations, ANSERTEAM, LLC, a national staffing company and the Texas Women Ventures Fund, which makes investments in women-owned companies.  In the past, she has been an organizer and Director of two banks, Resource Bank and Texas Capital Bank.

Valerie has served on many boards of civic and business organizations over her 30-year career and has been instrumental in founding many others.  Currently, she serves on the Boards of the Women’s Business Council of the Southwest, North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Girl Scouts of NE Texas where she past Board Chair, and the Dallas County Community College Foundation where she is past chair.  She also serves on the Advisory Board of Women’s Enterprise Publications, and the Steering Committees of the Executive Women’s Roundtable and the Dallas Chapter of Women Corporate Directors.

She is a member of the Leadership Texas Alumni Association, World President’s Organization, International Women’s Forum, Dallas Assembly and Alliance of Technology and Women.  Over the years Valerie has been a founding member of the Executive Women’s Roundtable, Dallas Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owner (and the third President and National Advisory Board), International Women’s Forum, Women Corporate Directors and Women’s Business Council of the Southwest. Valerie has mentored many women business owners through programs like the YEO/WPO programs among others.

Valerie holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Houston where she was honored as Distinguished Alum.
